Field Trips!

Several field trip opportunities are being offered with the symposium.

A pre-symposium field trip to Illinois karst is being organized by Philip Moss.

A post-symposium field trip to the Perry County, Missouri, region is being organized by Scott House.

On Wednesday, October 10th, the symposium attendees will venture southwest of St. Louis to Meramec State Park located near Sullivan, Missouri.  Meramec State Park contains dozens of caves and while we'd love to show you all of them, time won't allow for such an adventure!  The featured destination for this trip is Fisher Cave, a mildly commercialized cave within ther park.  A handful of trips to wild caves will be offered.  No mud is allowed on the buses!  Bring clean clothes if you plan to go on a more natural trip!!!!

After the field trip, we will visit Meramec Caverns for a tour and feed!  Check back here for more information!
